Organ transplant surgery requires an experienced team, equipped center and multidisciplinary approach; such services are available at our university hospital. Our patients are prepared by physicians of relevant departments in our center and their operations are safely performed; patients are monitored in the intensive care units according to the age group of patients at the early postoperative period and next, they are discharged to 30-bed isolated organ transplant surgery clinic. Our Organ Transplantation team, headed by Prof. Ayhan Dinçkan, M.D., achieves high survival rates for patients and organs not only in surgeries but also at follow-up periods by creating solutions for the health problems of the patients quickly thanks to a very long-standing experience in liver, kidney and pancreas transplantations (approximately 5000 kidney transplantations, 1000 liver transplantations). Our center is distinguished not only in the field of organ transplantation, but also promotion of organ donation and their rewards in this field both in our region and our country based on efforts of our experienced organ transplantation coordinators. For both kidney and liver transplant surgeries, patients with a non-matched living donor can have this miraculous treatment by matching such patients in the cross-over transplantation program of our hospital.
